159 Rear Wheel Alignment Adjustment Seized?

Sorry for that very untechnical thread title.

Took my car in to have the wheel alignment sorted today after new tyres as it shredded a front tyre in weeks.

Took them ages and eventually came back and said that the rear adjustment was seized solid and I would need new bushes.

Does this sound correct? Surely if the bushes are worn the adjustment can still be made?

I was made feel as though I was being fobbed off - especially as it was late in the day.

Thanks - Chris.

Rear adjustment bolts seized tends to be expensive.
If you really cannot get the lock nut undone and bolt moved, it requires new bush housing.
Try brass bush cleaning followed by Duck Oil or decent penetrating oil (not WD40) first.
Unfortunately applying heat to free them will wreck the bushes.

Apply some penetrating oil and wait a week before finding a new garage.
