Swirl flap removal worth it?

Hi all,

I have the 1.9 159 Diesel & am thinking about getting the swirl flaps removed.

Just wondered what the likely hood is that they'll come off if left?

How many peeps do you know of that have had them come off & damage the engine? Anyone here?

Just trying to weigh up the risk of leaving them in or having them whipped out...

It happened to my previous 159. Finished up with no compression on #1 but never bothered to investigate further. The car had done nearly 160k miles so I sold it for spares rather than spending a lot of money getting it fixed

If it is a good car and you want to keep it, get the flaps sorted when the belt & pump are due.
