Hi, My 159 2.4 JTDM has on 3 occasions in the last few days done this:
- slight misfire/drop in power for a few seconds
- then suddenly ground to a complete stop
- Will eventually restart and run OK (1-2 minutes) after a lot of cranking
ECU scan shows a P0262 error being thrown (Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit High) Last one captured data as:
- engine temp = 26c,
- engine speed = 2500rpm,
- Throttle = 18%
- boost = 1600mbar
I checked obvious readings such as Fuel pressure desired vs Actual (they're tracking fine) fuel delivery desired vs actual (also tracking fine) and injector correction values (1-4 are typically betwen 0 and -0.3, 5 running about 1.3).
I'm wondering if this is more of a general fuel starvation problem (filter?) or electrical fault - as surely if only 1 injector is affected it wouldn't cause the engine to stop completely?
also - a bit weird - DPF status is shown as 'Not Clogged' but the clogging value is shwing as 1000% and also showing over 130,000KM since last regen
It won't do a forced regen as it keeps saying that conditions are not correct (temp is above 70c, RPM is ~830 =I'm assuming it's the 'not clogged' status that is preventing the regen) This maybe a red herring but just including it from comleteness and/or comments.
I've not yet had the EGR off and cleaned it and the throttle body so I don't know what the sate of that is. (I do this annually on the 147 to keep it sweet! The 159 looks a little less straightforward to get at..)
Welcome any thoughts/opinions/guidance!
