Connecting a battery jump pack to car battery

I have bought a battery jump starter as I have had a couple of instances of dead batteries due to infrequent use of the car.
The red positive cable from the jump pack connects to the positive terminal. The black cable from the jump pack is meant to connect to the earthing point? Where is this on the 159? Does it clip where the existing black cable it connected too? Excuse my my lack of knowledge!!

Anything connected to the chassis is earth.
Should be a point on the engine.

I've always just used the -ve battery terminal

Is it a new small Li-Ion pack?
I fancy one of those.

The whole metal of the car is the Earth (return/negative). But because you are trying to get a lot of power to the starter motor it is better to put the negative lead on some metal in the engine to shorten the Return path.

On the 1.9 jtdm you should have an engine lifting eye bolted to the cam cover just to the left of the battery, use that as your earth point.
