Faulty glow plugs

After a few years of no issues with a glow plug error I head on my annual mountain pilgrimage to the alps with the Alfa this year. Hmmm..... So the glow plugs are pretty important!!!
At high altitude starting was v difficult and resulted in rac Europe coming out (they were excellent btw). Jumped it no probs although it looked like a steam train for a while. Plugged on my solar charger to keep the battery topped up and just about got it started again on the last day after multiple attempts and again lots of smoke.

On return I went about the fiasco that many have I'm sure with trying to get them replaced, in short everywhere was inc europarts, who all do the plugs that are for the old head and too short despite special ordering some in which were then the right length but the wrong rating.

Anyway, Jamie porters did 5 very cheaply and overnight delivery. So big thumbs up to them for excellent service.

Roads??......Where were going we don't need...Roads!!
