159 ti high rear ride height

Hi, currently looking for a 159 ti, i have spotted one that looks great but the rear ride height looks a little high compared to most of the others i've seen. i havent seen the car in the flesh yet (its in a garage some distance form where i live) but was really just wondering if there is sometimes variation from car to car or has it maybe had the springs changed for towing or maybe wrong ones fitted? is spring failure common?
Any opinions/ideas?

Thanks Chris

There shouldn't be a difference. The first thing that comes to mind is once of the springs has failed. It could be one of the front ones has failed, or, one of the rear ones, and if it's a Ti, some muppet has replaced it with a standard height spring.

Any spelling/ grammatical errors are purely there to annoy!

As per the above post, eurocarparts quote a spring part number for the ti model which is actually for a standard chassis. This could lead to some people fitting the wrong springs as many mechanics outside of specialist dealers wouldn't know the difference. This is likely to be the case. If this is the only issue I wouldn't be put off, just haggle the 300-400 off the asking price that would cover fitting standard ti rear springs. You could alternatively consider the eibach spring route but, speaking from experience as I've gone down that route myself, I'd be more inclined to stick to standard suspension components.

Wrong springs by the sound of it, std ones are half the price of Ti ones add that to part number confusion....
