New rain sensor, how to stick it to the screen?

Hi all, just bought a new rain sensor for our 159 to see if it makes any difference to the useless auto wipers. Don't suppose anyone knows how it's meant to be bonded to the screen?

Haven't taken the old one off yet, but it doesn't look very well stuck in place.

If it's the same as the 156, they're not bonded to the screen. The sensor is held against the screen by a small spring in a plastic housing that clips to the rear view mirror housing. There's a gel pad that sits between the sensor face and the glass.

Of course the 159 might be different.
