hi, I have recently installed AVIC-F60DAB (see following discussions http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...tic-cover.html
) and am more than pleased with it!
the only small thing that is general problem is DAB signal coverage. in Germany
is still only in big cities and even there (I live in Berlin) as soon as you get to the city's outskirts, signal gets very weak. so, be prepared for that. is not Pioneer's problem, it is general problem until all analog TV broadcasting is shut down and frequencies given to the digital radios.
my advice for you would be to use FM/DAB signal splitter, since then you could use car's aerial (no necessity for installing ugly Pioneer's stick-it-on-windscreen). in order to improve the signal, am thinking to find some signal enhancer which works both for DAB and FM. people who installed mine in car used as well the car's GPS antenna (I had OEM Navigation in it before)
next thing to check is did you had OEM Navigation (big screen one). If so, the opening in dashboard is bigger than for the normal OEM Radio/CD versions, so you'll need a special fascia adapter. Personally, I found one new dashboard trim panel in black brushed aluminum (which I always wanted) so I switched that and use standard fascia adapter.
next big item is CAN bus / steering wheel adapter, which should enable you using the buttons on steering wheel with new unit and should read required signals from car's CAN BUS. since beyond my competence in electronics, I gave up and gave 450 EURs up to specialists. Price would be smaller, but I asked them to install also the camera for reverse drive (unit support this, automatically when you switch gear to reverse).
F60DAB is top quality unit and goes excellent with my Bose system in car. do not know did the specialists had to deal with subwoofer with special adapter (think it was all in that one I ordered via them anyway, see link to other forum I wrote)
navigation in F60DAB is great, finally touch screen instead of those pre-historic turning knobs and zillion buttons
manipulation is excellent and intuitive
on some forums you can find few very good backgrounds and startup splash screens
