can bad installation break window?
Yesterday I picked up my Spider at the dealer garage after changing the left window motor and another motor in the roof and, many euros lighter, drove back home.
This morning I was going to take the car and found the window broken in 1000 pieces. The crack pattern is homogenous without impact point. Like if the glass broke due to internal tension.
I think the mechanics did a poor job with assembly and the window stops 2mm too high, getting pressure from the roof which eventually caused the glass to break. What do you think?
How the window "knows" when to stop? Is there a sensor or just mechanical setting?
