Finally got my first Brera, it died the same day.. need advice!
I bought an Alfa Romeo Brera 2.4 JTDM from a dealership on Saturday (not an Alfa dealership...). That afternoon I noticed that diesel was pouring from the engine, I used 35 litres of diesel to go 70 miles..
Work was done to the injectors before I picked the car up, the leak is from the injectors, my guess is that whoever fixed it didn't tighten them back up properly.
The dealership are coming to collect the car today to perform repairs, I'm just wondering, would going the 70 miles have permanently damaged the engine? Should I just return the car or accept the fix that they perform?
I have three months warranty on the car but under the "Sale of Goods Act 1979", if a car isn't fit for purpose then I have the right to demand a refund.
That one drive on the motorway was brilliant though, if I do return it, I'll be getting a different one.
