159 Engine light incident (possible fix for some)

Thought i'd share this as it could help someone. Anyway yesterday while driving the engine light came on. Having just bought the car I feared the worst. As a new owner of the 159 I am not that familiar with all the nitpicks of the my beauty, and after furious googling I discovered the problem.

Apparently I had left the gas cap slightly open (it probably didn't make the click its supposed to do) and after driving for a while the check engine light came on. I closed the cap properly, disconnected the battery for a while and the light was still on (however it dissapeared after a quick drive to the shop).

Now if I could only get rid of the beeps the beeps the car started to make after unlocking the doors .
