Hi, I hope someone can shed some light on this. On my 159 2.4, after getting several error codes for iat sensor, boost sensor, 4 x injectors and a manifold error all at once after the car had been off road for a new head gasket (was fine before). I checked all the wiring and connections with a multi meter but couldn't find anything.
Then after disconnecting the connectors on the ecu and testing the pins for output voltage (with the ignition on) all seemed ok, but when I reconnected it up it was going all over the place! throttle flap opening and closing, boost gauge racing up and down, the engine management light flickers on and off rapidly, had a fiddle with it but it wont go away!
So I figured I buggered the ECU, so I ordered a reconditioned one from the ECU doctor with the map and details from my old ECU transferred over to it. Its on a trial basis, so if it doesn't work I can send it back and get a refund minus £50.
Well it hasn't worked, its still flickering all over the place. What can cause this? Its really random and odd to see. If I can get it to stop then I can see if the new ECU has fixed the original problem.
Many thanks in advance for the genius that knows what's going on!
