Ok, just interested in anyone's experiences/thoughts on the freeing up of VNT vanes without using Mr.Muscle.
I'm suffering from a reoccurring limp mode caused by sticking vanes on the turbo.
I'm looking at possibly trying a technique the same as used in the "Revive" turbo cleaning method which is basically
The below process is done on a cold engine to prevent the cleaner from evaporating.
1. Run the end at 2000rpm while injecting 250ml of cleaner post MAF sensor.
2. Drop rpm to 1800 rpm and inject another 250ml of cleaner
3. Switch off for 2-3 mins and allow injected cleaner to soften the deposits.
4. Run again at 2000rpm and inject the last 250ml of cleaner.
5. Take for a short drive.
If anyone has tried the link below on a 159 I would like to hear about it.
Just wondering if anyone had tried anything similar? I have access to a reasonable amount Ardrox Gas turbine compressor wash fluid which is used for a similar task. Even if it takes 5-10 repeat operations to improve what I have., it would be easier than ripping the turbo off!!!!
