Well Happy HELP Needed - Gear linkage bushes...

Hello all

I hope someone can help.

I have a 159, 1.9jtdm and the cables that connect my gear selector to the gear stick are popping off.
I have to pop back the cables once every 2 days (or so)

I stripped out the battery and tray today and had a good look.

The ball and socket joint is made up of a metal ball, and plastic socket, that is like a bush.

Does anyone know if I can buy the bush kit similar to the 156, or do I need a new set of cables?

If I do need cables, where can I get some from? called Alfa today and they want 210 + VAT for a set!!!!

are there any good aftermarket ones, or can I get the replacement bush kit?

Help would be appreciated before the bush wears out completely!

Hi there,
Hope you sorted this. I'm just wondering too because my 159 1.9jtdm has a increasingly stiff/notch gear change, worse when it's warm I reckon but that may just be my imagination. I've read a lot about the bushes wearing on the 156 and 147 but don't know if it the same arrangement and part number. Any help anyone?
Thanks in advance..!
