Brera water pump/cam belt replace help
Bought my 59 plate 2.4 JTDM Brera just over a year ago, love it, great build quality, feels exclusive without being too flashy, quick and nimble. Just an great drive.
But, it's now at 48,000 miles and at the service they brought up the water pump and cam belt replacement due (recommended) at 50,000. The quote (I have an alfa service plan so this was at the 'delership') was for roughly £1000! (inc labour) I was flabbergasted, the gentlemen explained that the parts are roughly £200-£300 but on the Brera JTDM they spend 7 hours doing the work.
So my questions are;
Is roughly £1000 what I should expect to pay?
Am I being taken for a ride here?
The price of a pump and cam belt is £300!?
What are my options?
Thanks guys really appreciate any responses
