245/40 98y 19" in Uniroyal rainsport 3 are the best, I just replaced a set on my Brera with 19" wheels. As an alternative I have fitted Good Year F1 asymmetric 2's. Both about £135 each from Camskill who are out of stock of the RS 3's just now. You will have to get them fitted, expect to pay about 10 quid a wheel at your local garage.
Both these tyres are perfect, I got 20K out of the RS 3's and would have fitted them again had Camskill had them in stock. We run the Goodyears on the Spider (18"). Both types of tyres chosen because of good ratings, Fuel C, wet braking A and about 70db noise.
You can pay up to £200+ for some makes or as little as £70ish for budget, which some folks are happy with.
Someone said to me, "so whats so special about an Alfa Romeo then?" I told him, "If you have to ask, you wont understand".
Driving Brera S 2.2, wife drives 939 Spider 2.2 and there is a 1972 Spider 2000 S2 in the garage for fun days.
