Help propshaft q4

hi any other q4 owners had problems with the propshaft on their car? mine sometimes rattles on the bottom of the car only when moving off .been told its a worn bush.problem is fiat don't sell the bushes they want you to buy the whole shaft at 2000 bloody ****take surely theres somebody out there who could do a rebuild? many thanks chris

There was a thread not long back about a thud sound coming from the rear diff when driving or releasing the clutch. That sound was a worn bush
Not sure if this thread will help, but if your part what's needed is the shaft? Try breakers yards on ebay first or google propshaft rebuild West Middlands

Are you sure thats the issue? I had a metal on metal rubbing noise on mine and turned out to be a loose heat shield rubbing on the prop shaft.
