Brera 3.2 q4 wheel alignment settings

Since I bought the car in Feb, the front tyres have suffered from rapid wear of the outside shoulders, writing off a pair of Dunlop Sportmax' in 4000miles. (Rears wear normally)

Rather than fit PU bushes, I've had both upper and lower wishbones changed and the garage claimed to have reset the tracking but couldn't check anything else. In the week since I got the car back, the extreme outside shoulders / top corner of the sidewalls of the newish Vredestein's are showing strange wear which I can only think is due to massively excessive toe in.

However I've also noticed that it understeers and turns in sluggishly on lefthanders, whereas with righthanders its fine. In fact its so bad that you'd think the right hand tyre had hit a patch of oil - it washes out on wet roads unless you give it a lot more lock and then you can feel it bite and turn in.
Otherwise its fine - no pulling to either side, no wheel wobble, though it does weave a bit under heavy braking. (always has)

Are the factory settings the ones to use or is there anything to be gained by using non factory settings?
Its on the original 17" wheels, (225/50/17")
