Fair point although it doesn't matter that much imo, You'll probably find a lot of cars were manufactured a long time before they were registered regardless one when production ceased, especially from the major manufacturers.
Im sure it will still be worth a lot more than a similar car registered 3 years ago with similar mileage. All the trade are interested in when valuing is age and mileage and condition. At £18k its a bit ambitious I agree but at £14k its good value when you consider what else "new" you could get....that's fiesta money.
