Is G13 coolant ok in my 2.4 Diesel Brera?

Ordered some coolant for the Brera as I have done the thermostat replacement and EuroCarParts matched it up with purple coloured G13 via the licence plate.

Can anyone tell me if this will be ok to mix with the coolant that is still in my system (red coloured and probably the original spec stuff).

G13 is Glycerine based and according to websites can be mixed with G12 (red).

Thanks for any advice, would rather not have to swap it!

I'd go for the cherry coloured one myself, but if they have matched it for you can't see it being the wrong one.

I did a water pump change & was told to only buy the cherry coloured one. It was only a cheap one £8 for 5ltrs.

My mechanic said not to worrie about the brand-name any will be fine as long as it's cherry

Paraflu Up is whats needed, it is a Monoethylene Glycol base fluid, formulated with organic inhibitors based on O.A.T. (Organic Acid Technology)

ASTM D 3306 Type 1 basicaslly means ethylene glycol.

In this case, the 'Red' that Euro sell is the spec closest, its ethylene glycol with OAT.

I wouldn't put the glycerine stuff in there
