It should be possible to remove the plastic door sill and maybe also the cover under the right side dash and peel the carpet back to make an inspection easier. I chose to take the front right carpet out and lift the real carpet to get it dry, the right side was soaked... There was a lot of cables running on the floor and in the rectangular shaped recess the connectors for the seatheater and seat airbag was located so I thought it was best to get everything dry. I didnt search for the leak until I had everything out anyway.
PS: if you want to take the carpets out, the front seat have one bolt on both sides in the rear. Then lift the rear and pull the seat backwards, there are some kind of hooks in the front + one bolt for the belt. Then disconnect the 2 connectors. Had to take out the seatcusion of the backseat out to access the rear bolt on the rear door plastic sill. Lift the backseat in the front about 30 mm and push it backwards to release it from a hook. You should also disconnect the battery before you start.
Ps2: mine is left hand drive so it may some differences.
