Best discs and pads for my Spider?
I've got a 2.2 LE Spider (08 model) and will need the brake discs and pads replaced all round fairly soon and they're down to less than 30% of life left in them now.
Most of the quotes i've had for replacing all four corners have been around the £500 mark which isn't too bad. I guess another £60-£80 for a brake fluid flush on top of that and it's still fairly reasonable.
Should I take the opportunity to get 'upgraded' discs and pads or is it not worth it? For what it's worth, the braking ability of my Spider has been the worst of any car that I've ever owned! On the plus side, it has passed its MOT first time for the last two years so I guess the brakes aren't that bad in reality - they just don't feel like they stop the car very well.
It would be good to get much better stopping ability if that's possible.
