Before I get a remap...
Soon to get a remap on my 159 JTD Ti from my local independent specialising in ARs so I'm pretty confident he'll do a good job as he's done it on his car. Prior to this he'd developed and tested for many months until optimising the results.
Had been booked the other day for the tune but delayed due to a new ECU update from Italy which requires reintegration of the remap with the new software and some testing.
Main benefits explained to me were: performance increase, improved engine life, i.e. decreased wear, and increased fuel economy.
In addition to EGR and DPF do you any what other parameters are modified in the remap for a diesel?
And, what other questions should I ask before I go ahead?
Is there anything else I should consider?
Looking forward to the change as I have only read good things about the EGR and DPF delete in terms of helping significantly with performance.
