Coxy has done it using plasti-dip on his grey 159. It looks awesome. Also his chrome is done like that on the front and the wheels are 19" pro-drive anthracite ones. All in all it looks very good and swapping out the bright chrome features on the lighter grey/silver cars for black ones really works well.
Agreed - not convinced it would work on a Black car, hence the question
I've 'dipped the light surrounds and the horizontal bar - makes a massive difference, actually makes the front of the car more aggressive - and black/silver badges all round make for a subtle difference too.
I'm thinking anthracite wheels when I refurb, or something a little more subtle like Aston Martin Tungsten, which I had on a previous car.
If I were to do the door handles, I'd plasti-dip them just to see if I liked them, and of course peel off if I didn't. If I liked them, I'd spray them satin black and get the tinted side indicators.
There are a few bits of brightwork I'd keep though - the foglight surrounds, the mirror caps and the tailpipes, just to pick up interest around the car.
