Hopefully Getting a 159 TI TOMORROW 26/09/14
Hi all I've been a member for a while and very very nearly took the plunge a year ago and bought an Alfa 159 TI...
In the end it sold and I got a seat leon BTCC, fast forward 12 months and here I am again, only this time im off to view and hopefully buy an ALFA 159 TI 1.9 jtdm tomorrow 26/09/14..
We've had two Alfa's in the past a 156 1.8 Twin spark it went wrong from time to time, and up until 6 months ago the the wife had an Alfa GT 1.9 jtdm ( which I was a little under whelmed with ).
I have read the buyers guide stickyed @ the top BUT im after upto date advise please A.S.A.P if possible.
159 TI 1.9jtdm 08 plate ( not sure if its the updated one with handle boot release or pre facelift )
62000 miles, HAS NEVER HAD A CAMBELT!!!!! im shocked @ this as I've read they need doing between 50000/60000, I've been quoted from ALFA EXPERT in blackpool around £400.00 for cambelt kit and water pump fitted, is this about right? Its FSH only one been from an indy..I was also factoring in getting the front wheel alignment done as its a problem so I've read, does £100 sound about right ?, Its got all the spec barring sat-nav and electric seats its even got Xenons
Its remapped and DPF deleted done by AHM ( anybody heard or used them? ) it included remap dpf delete and egr delete... guy recons its around 195bhp, I think this is a high estimate. and says it averages around 42/44 mpg town driving ( REALLY ? ) and between 50/60 mpg @ 70mph on the motorway, is this about right? again seem high to me...
What should I look out for other then making sure all the electrics and rear doors open and close/lock.
Any advise would be much much appreciated....
