Bilstein B6 Front Shocks Fitting Problem
I've recently bought a Bilstein B6 shock absorbers set and I'm having problems with fitting them to my 159.
The two front shocks seem to be different in size from the stock shocks. The rod is thinner, while the body is thicker. This is preventing the stock dust cover (don't know the proper / technical name for it) from fitting the B6. I've attached a photo of the pieces that won't fit, hoping it will make what I'm saying a bit more clear.
Has anybody encountered this problem with the B6s? Thanks for your help!
edit: Ok, so apparently the bump stop isn't supposed to be fitted, as the B6s should have internal bump stops. That leaves only the dust cover to worry about (leftmost and rightmost of the three pieces in the attached photo). Problem is the B6 is too thick for the stock dust cover to properly fit over.
So my question is: are there dust covers made specifically for the Bilsten B6s? Mine came (from alfisti) without covers, which seems a bit odd now.
