1.9Jtdm: Replace plastic inlet manifold with older aluminium one

Anyone know if its possible to swap the newer plastic inlet manifold on a 1.9 16v Jtdm with the more commonly available aluminium manifold?

It seems the only difference is the actuator electrical connector. The later (plastic manifold) with integral swirl valves and actuator one has 6 pins whilst the older ali manifold with separate actuator only has 4. The centre pair of pins are not there. The connector housing is the same.

Just wondering if anyone knows if its a straight swap and whether the electrical connection difference will cause a problem with the ecu and ultimately develop a fault and error code.

Thanks for any advice
