My 159 smokes for ages, especially when you're sat at lights, even these past few weeks while its been warm. Seems to go once the oil temp gets up tho'. I think it looks dead cool with the twin exhausts although one frosty day there was a bit of a breeze blowing it back over the car and I could hardly see.
I'm just waiting for some raging green veggie attacking me while I'm sat there ranting about global warming and blaming me for it all.
Does your Brera also steam from under the bonnet on a cool morning. Mine has done it a few times, the first nearly gave me a heart attack, thought I was on fire
What goes around usually gets dizzy and falls over.
I've noticed much the same. Seems to generate a lot of steam even after the engins well and truly reached running temperatures. Just looking at the back of mine now and there's a lot of tail pipe there for the rain to gets into and that has to boil off.
The smoky/steamy thing is normal then with the 2.2 JTS?
I'm glad about that. After all the problems I had with my GT from new, I'm jumping out of my skin with every buzzer and bell on the Spider. Was worried about the smoky exhaust too this morning
I think most engins run a bit rich when first started althogh I've never noticed any significant petrol smell from mine. I'd get that checked out it dosn't seem right.
On the subject of upping the power, I was thinking more along the lines of a turbo rather than just a remap but can't see anyone that can provide anything for the 2.2. A car with these looks just shouldn't have a 0 to 60 time over 8 seconds.
It is hard to tell. First time I smelled it was in solid trafic on M4. The hood was down and the wind came from behind. I got the feeling it is there all the time since I often can smell petrol after I have parked the car.
The is no drip spill on the ground where the car is parked.
