Oil Change and Service Reset using MultiEcuScan
Tiny bit of background, i don't see my dad and thus the alfa often but he has been visiting me for last few days, and yesterday the car flashed up that 'service interval expired'. Well he says yesterday but he is very unobservant so i wouldn't be hugely surprised if its been there a while lol.
So I have a full paid version of MultiEcuScan so just been out and plugged it into my dads 159 (1.9 jtdm 16v). Looking through all the parameters i can't see anything that says odometer at last service or distance since service, only odometer at last oil change. The car has not however flashed up the oil change warning at all as of yet but its not far off (oil deg is down at 31%).
What has confused me is as far as i can see there is no option to reset the service interval, i can only find the 'change oil' command and i'm thinking surely is it has separate warnings for service and oil then they should both have a reset.
Am i being blind or what? Can someone with MES tell me where i should see service reset and the counter since last service.
Oh and btw, i did the last service and oil change on it, in my head i reset both counters but maybe i didn't - as at the time neither warnings were displayed - it had done 10k since its last service (before we owned it, and was done at alfa garage) and so as far as it was concerned it wasn't due. But it was my car then and i service all cars at a max of 10k mile intervals or 1 year, whichever comes first. So it is possible that i just reset the oil counter and thought that it was done....... Any help appreciated.
