My manifold was cleaned out whilst cambelt changed before I handed over the money for my car, I know it was defo done. When I took the EGR off to check the throttle body about 6 months later, I was horrified to see how much the manifold had already collected. My main thoughts are a V6 prob would have worked out cheaper even short term and sounded less like a transit van round town. However, it seems like a no brainer to get a recon'd manifold with the swirl flaps sorted fitted by AutoLusso. whilst cambelts are done. But what can be done to stop the manifold getting so coked up again?
