I bought the car end of January and had no problems until around June, at which point a little squeak could be heard. I had all the pads replaced with mintex pads. This sorted it for a couple of weeks but then the noise just got louder & louder.
Took the car to alexanders in Stockton for an MOT, where they also stripped the calipers, cleaned them and rebuilt them. The problem came back after about 2 miles of driving.
The discs were 20% worn on the front and 40% worn on the back and I can see no visible marks on them.
I took that video yesterday, halfway through a 160 mile journey which was a mixture of motorway & town driving so it's not as if the discs were cold, in fact, it seems to be worse when the brakes get some heat in them.
My previous car was a Nissan 350Z with 308bhp, and wether I was tootling around town or gunning it, the brembos on that never so much as gave a whimper.
It really is taking away any pleasure of driving now. Like Alfadisiac said, braking hard does result in no squeaks but I really don't think I should have to alter my driving style (and sometimes I like a 'spirited' journey).
