From a 916 GTV V6 to a Brera or 159 V6?

As title says, would i be disappointed going from the Busso V6 on my 916 GTV to something newer like the Brera or 159?
Any previous GTV owners made the switch?
thanks in advance

Not a V6 GTV as only had a TS one of those but we have a V6 GT & V6 Brera and feel that the Brera is by far the better car. Still love our GT though, which is why we kept in

Not quite as relevant, but went from a 2.0 TS GTV to a 2.2 Spider.
Wish I'd kept the GTV now to be honest - I had it for 8 years but with hindsight that still wasn't long enough!
I certainly wouldn't let a Busso GTV go - that's got to be a future classic, if not one already.
If you can afford to keep it as a 'high days and holidays' kind of car I'd do so .

I went from a 1999 Phase 2 3.0 V6 GTV to a 159 SW 2.4 JTDM. Had the GTV for 11 years and I hated letting her go but I had a change of job which means 25k miles this year and new baby so no real choice. I started to have a few non-engine issues such as brake calipers etc which were getting tricky. I have remapped my 159 so it's pushing out more BHP and way more torque than the GTV had, but I miss the noise, the way it revved and pretty much everything else (except getting frozen out in Winter). If I could have kept it garaged then I would have. It sounds like you're trying to stick with the V6 so that's a better compromise but I think most would say that the 3.2JTS is not a patch on our old 3.0 V6s. Good Luck

The busso is /was one of the best engines every made, love my 24v 3.0 Gtv had quaife dif and most go faster/stop quicker mods you can think of.

Bought the brera 4 yrs ago now and it's a dif class of vehicle with all the mod cons and with a few additional mods love it too, if your looking for a modern alfa I don't think you will be disappointed. If I'd kept my Gtv is would be a track pig by now. Gtv was a sports car. Brera is a Gt
