[QUOTE=M@RTIN;9781914]My Brera 2.2 is with a local specialist getting the gearbox bearings, DMF & clutch replaced. They've recommended using ATF fluid in the box as they say the standard oil is too heavy? I've never heard of this & can't find anything here on the forum, so has anyone else done this or have any experience of this?
Recently had my box fully rebuilt (m32) including correct shims to relieve pressure on upper bearing, when I asked them what oil are they going to use they replied ATF 2.2ltrs.
I mentioned Sintofluid 75/ 80 and 3 ltrs and he looked at me as if I had two heads
Thinking they are the experts I let them use what they see as the correct combination.
Well so far gears smooth and no crunch in 3rd at all with fast changes.
The specialists used are from Salisbury and are highly regarded by local mechanics.
Next oil change I might sneak some Sintofluid in there, see how it goes.
Car great can now drive it nice and hard, just like my old twinny, happy days.
