AO Car Of The Year Winner 2015

I am new to this Alfa forum. I have read a lot about Alfas over the years. some of it very unfair in reliability etc. Mainly in diesels. I have owned a lot of Fords, Vauxhalls, etc. They seems to suffer the same problems as Alfas with diesels. Always going wrong. But petrol seem to be ok. But when I first drove an Alfa for the 1st time. It just blew me away. But will always go for the petrol model every time. Biggest engine model I can get my hands on. The old saying goes, you buy an Alfa with your heart, not your head.
I agree. Since Tdi Golf in 2005 (company car) I drove exclusively petrols. Two of my Alfas plus company cars Skoda, Mazda and BMW (all petrol). Now due to new job I recently bought a 159 2.4 qtronic Ti. Dpf and egr off and remap. Its a very nice car but in the future I return to petrol for sure again. I dont like the sound, vibration and I lack at least another 1500-2000 of usable revs. It is very nice for a diesel comparing to what my colleagues drive, but its still just a diesel. Economy is not that great either and althought I am very happy with it in general, having a choice I would go for 3.2 now or maybe even 2.2.
