I spend more time cleaning my Brera than driving it. (Um, I am embarrassed to say.) But I live in central London and park on the street.
This is all I can think:
Yesterday, I noticed a three inch scratch in the middle of my driver's door window. It could have happened where I park it, but I'm sure I would have noticed. So, it must have happened in the Sainsburys car park.
I always park far out in the empty end, leaving plenty of room around my car. When I came back to it, there was a large box van parked next to my car, no other cars around. Didn't notice the scratch at that point, but I was wearing dark glasses on a really sunny day.
I noticed the scratch when I got home. It looks like someone has come by with a ring and run it across the glass.
I despair. It's not like I didn't expect something like this to happen. I park on the street in SE22 and pay an insurance premium that reflects that. I come out every morning to see if the worst has happened, but to date (I've had the car for seven months), the Brera is still parked there and no one has smashed into it.
I'll be on the internet investigating "how to rub out scratches on car glass" now, and will probably just end up leaving it as one of my battle scars...
