Gazella Racing - problems
Has anyone used Gazella Racing in West Yorkshire for Alfa parts?
Due to the well known excessive camber changes ruining a pair of new tyres in 4k miles I ordered for the 3 pairs of PU bushes for the front suspension of my Brera on 13th June. They charged my card the next day, two weeks later on the 26th the order was stated to be 'processed' but no tracking info was available. (alarm bells should have sounded)
Another two weeks passed and when I queried the non delivery and asked for the courier and tracking info on the 5th July, I was told the order must have been lost and no courier or tracking info was provided. They offered to reship with another courier and email me the tracking info and give me 10% discount or a refund.
I asked for the refund. It then took more emails to confirm whether this had been done. On the 9th July an email said it had been processed but as of today (19th) still no refund on my credit card.
I thought this sort of diabolical service was a thing of the past and it looks like I'll have to take it up with my credit card company.
I was charged £10 for delivery and don't believe the shipment was lost - who would send a £250 order by an untracked method and then be unable to provide the name of the courier used?
Their website is also breaking the law in displaying only vat exclusive prices - retail websites must display vat inclusive prices or both.
I have now bought a set of new upper and lower arms from Eurocarparts complete with all bushes fitted for £400 - just 50% more than for 3 pairs of PU bushes. (The Pagid discs and pads they supplied me are excellent by the way)
