159 2.4 lost its oil pressure. Oil comming out of cambelt cover
My belowed 159 SW Diesel has lost it's oil.
Yesterday it warned me of low oil pressure, and when I stopped and looked, it had allready made a small puddle.
I opened the bonnet and pulled the plastic cover, and sure enough, the was a lot of oil at the right side of the engine bay, looking like it came out of the cam belt cover.
In an attempt to locate the leak. Oil was filled in the now "dry" engine. But it failed to generate oilpressure, so I canselled the attempt, not finding out where the leak was.
Has anybody here had the same or similar problem?
It seems like the oil came from somewhere near the cam belt, and was transported around by the belt. Becasue the inside of the cam cover is oily, exept close to the camshaft camwheel.
Bad hose or seal or something like that.
One has pointed out that it could be an oilpump, but what do you guys think about that?
