They are excellent to drive, even when I push the 1.9 hard I still get 41 MPG. Some peeps here have had remaps done and the result is even more fun...
what I like about the 159 is the ability to push hard into the corners, on the tight twisty stuff anything following behind soon falls away..I just take the long way home all the time.
its more fun...
There's not much bad to say about the 159, (1.9 that is) at the start the Maf gave trouble, but it was replaced, the top arm was replaced today. As it was starting to squeak at about 25-30K miles. Part of this is down to the fine roads in Ireland
The car is an excellent mile muncher, and I'm happy enough with the standard radio/CD. Deep Purple sounds ok on it
I'll be changing in the new year, and will be going for another 159 1.9 JTDm, as I'm happy enough with the car, and she is a stunning car to look at...
I'd say go for it, and have fun
So what are they like to drive in the real world, the 1.9's?.
I'm thinking of going on a bit of an economy drive and taking a company car, rather than running the GTA on an inadequate allowance. 159 1.9JTDm SW, is the likely choice.
I know I'm going to miss the GTA's for all kinds of reasons, but a 159 seems a reasonably economic stylish choice, and I'm hoping a decent drive... any thoughts?.
