Alfa 159 stereo/nav reboot loop

Hi, tried to see if anyone else has had this problem but can't find anything not surprised if the answer is replace with an after market but here goes anyhow.

For a few weeks the head unit (sat navigation radio) has been randomly at startup not working just showing the alfa logo then auto rebooting and then working after the reboot, now it just shows the alfa logo for 3 or 4 mins then reboots then shuts off. It never gets past the alfa logo screen.
So I have removed the car battery overnight and also removed the unit from the dash for a few hours but still get the same reboot issue. Any other ideas or is it see answer above.

I did post this is the ICE section but had no response.

Try taking the unit out and checking all the cables are plugged in securely ( and double check the fuses), after that new unit looms I would suspect)
