For those with a tired battery.
My battery is only 2 years old and starts the car fine but I have been getting the VDC ABS Hill holder errors on start up if the car is left for more than 3 days even though the car starts well enough and does not crank slowly.
I have found if you disable the alarms interior sensors by pressing the switch in the roof panel before locking, it does not drain the battery anything like as much and I can leave it for 10 days or more without getting the errors on start up.
The interior sensors must draw alot of juice and whilst it may not be useful to everybody, if you are parking in a more secure area for a longer period it could save you from either false warnings or a flat battery.
I believe the alarm still works on door entry with the interior detectors switched off.
