goodbye 159 2.4 ti sportswagon

After 6 months of heartbreak the dealer is taking back my 09 159 2.4 ti sw 48000 miles. new cam belt, new egr,5 new injectors,5 new glow plugs.fuel filter, several forced regens, engine flushs, oil changes, the list goes on. Still attracts an audience when starting splutters, squeaks, shakes, rattles and stalls, several attempts later will eventually run even.On the road right hand turns and roundabouts are hair raising lack of power pulling out then sudden surge of power makes this scary. On the few occasions it ran well I loved it but the wife says it has to go so goodbye alfa hello sensible car.

Seems like the most problems on all seem to be DIE-SEL'S
italian cars should be feuled by petrol IMO

The so called proven Alfa diesel engine seems troublesome

The later derv engines seem to be particularly troublesome with their DPF and associated issues.
The earlier DPF-free 1.9 found in the GT seems okay though from what I've heard, though it's maybe lacking in performance...

Dont think your better off buying an Audi simply type Audi dpf problems into google..............Its the German electrics and components that let this fine Italian car down!
