Front upper wishbones powerflex advice.
Here is one for the brave, has anybody attempted this conversion in a home garage?
My car has a shot upper left wishbone AGAIN and I have had enough.
I can do all the stripping and rebuilding, that is fairly straightforward, I have done it before.
I have a camber and castor gauge, used to set up my Cobra suspension I know it is accurate and I know how to use it.
I have figures for the existing camber, caster and toe from when I had the car 4 wheel aligned after swapping the lower suspension arm and track rod ends.
I suspect that the real issue will be the time taken to keep dropping the car back on the ground with weight on the suspension to keep checking the settings? That is what took the time setting up the Cobra.
From real experiance can anyone give me a good starting point to set the bushes at so that I will be close to the correct geometry? Also, bearing in mind the front tyre were issues with the Brera, can anyone suggest a more optimum camber setting that might allieviate the wear without detriment to the handling?
How difficult can it be?
