Sticky/Blocked Swirl flaps
hi guys, i am constantly getting P2013 error, which i have narrowed down to being the swirl flaps getting blocked or sticky. it mostly occurs after auto-dpf regen, or a freeway run and coming to a halt at the exit..
when the error occurs i hook it up to MES and actuate the swirl flaps, and sometimes i can notice the lack of full movement. after a few actuations, it comes free.
i usually spray throttle body cleaner on the flaps to help free them up. sometime im using silicon lubricant. not sure which is the better of the two. there is definitely a small leak in the 5th swirl flap, and i suspect that this is what is causing the blockages.
around the 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock region of swirl flap 5 i can see what looks to be a scrape mark in the metal that has been drawn in over time.
am i doing the right thing in solving this issue, kinda hoping it will get better with persistence. or is there a better fix to this solution? grease? run a blade between the plastic and the metal? should i disable flap #5 by disconnecting it from the runner? how can i be sure its even a problem with #5?
(other then manifold replacement as this is a second hand one i purchased and labour was too expensive to re do this job)
