You will of course get all sorts of conflicting advice. Some will even suggest to get the 2.4 JTDM some the 3.2 JTS. IMHO the miles you do are no where near long enough to get the benefit from a diesel, to the contrary, you are will possibly develop problems because it is a diesel. I have switched from diesel to petrol (2.2 JTS) after 22 years of diesel ownership, I do 18K a year with a 21 mile commute.
With uour mileage diesel shouldnt even be on the shopping list.
