Timing belt - chain replacement
Hi all, my engine warning light has come on a few times, say 5-6 now recently, mainly when parked on a slight hill. goes off after driven and restart engine. thought may be lower on oil, Took car in for 6th service today ( 2008 2.2 JTS ) they charged me £70 to "investigate", anyway they say the fault is the timing chain is stretched and needs replacing, - same as cam shaft belt I think on a normal car -
I have noticed seems a little off just feels it if that makes sense occasionally, thought clutch might be going, but mostly drives lovely. Anyway any one have experience, or am I being lead a dance, said £1500 ish for the replacement, is this about right, can a none Alfa garage do it, specialist alfa or general. Any help or thoughts would be great.
