Sorry for my lack of geographical knowledge laughing at myself now, I was just suggesting some where in the midlands, as already suggested, where most on this thread would find accessible that had a bit more to offer as a location to people who had to travel a fair way.
Anyway it was just that, a suggestion no worries.

Coxy is correct that would be middle of the country. That's about 3 hours from Glasgow, around 5 & 3/4 hours from Inverness and 4 hours from London (going by Google maps).

If you take England, Wales & Scotland into account. Coxy's location is central. I'm not sure where that would be if you include Northern Ireland! Probably the same as most NI guys would get a ferry from Belfast to Stranraer, or possibly Dublin to Liverpool.

More thought may be needed... Was looking to arrange somthing similar to the GT meet, in that it wasnt just a single day meet and chat type thing... make it more of a weekend event with some drives, dinner and maybe a few bevvies

Obviously like with the GT meet there would be some people who could only do the one day which would be fine
Can't agree more.
But lets try and pick somewhere that is near one of the main trunk roads.

Just to keep banging the drum for my local area

Rutland Water is within less than 3 hrs of the following:

Preston (just)

10 minutes from the A1, 15 miles from the A14, 20 miles from the M1

However with it and me being in a central location (certainly uk population wise) I don't mind travelling as no where likely for a meet is very far.... Aberdeen is 8 hrs last time I drove it

Rutland Water is a absolute bugger to get to for most of the country.

Just to put it in to perspective OS state Dunsop Bridge it with in 4.375 miles of the centre of the main land, some 117 miles N/E ish from Rutland Water as the crow flys.
A beautiful part of the country and very close to me!
Great country lane driving and gorgeous scenery .

If the plan is to maybe make a weekend, then I'm happy to travel a bit further if needed.

How many people would be interested in a club stand for Cholmondeley pageant of power on the 13th,14th and 15th of July. (Cholmondeley Pageant of Power Event, Cheshire, June 2014 | CPOP), it appears they are celebrating all things Italian and have club stands, Alfa Romeo Owners North west are attending and I personally think it would be an ideal setting for this discussed meeting. Granted its short notice and we will have to pay for tickets, but a weekend of cars and an Alfa gathering, should be worth it.
