Alfa 159 - "Vehicle Protection System not Available"
I have a brand new Alfa 159 2.4 JTDm (only 600 km in 5 days) and today, after a 200 km ride, when I turned off the engine, I've got an annoying sound accompanied by the following message "Vehicle Protection System not Available". When I put the key back in the starter place (without starting the engine), I get an icon in the bottom left part of the display (a steering wheel on top of a key, both yellow) for 1-2 seconds and after, the sound and the message disappeares and all is reverted back to normal... A few minutes later, when I stopped again, the same problem... But this time the annoying sound disappeared after about 10 seconds, without putting the key in the starter place...
I don't know if this is relied on but yesterday the engine stopped twice while driving without any message or alarm (I was in both situations at about 70 km/h without accelerating). I didn't even noticed exactly when it stopped; I found the wheel too hard while trying to steer and after I noticed that the engine is stopped. Reducing the speed and trying to start again the engine reverted all back to normal.
Does anybody nows what is all about?
