Bluey white heavy smoke after DPF drilling
Hoping someone can settle my mind here. My DPF accidentally got completely decored, everything out inc front bit of filter, so it's effectively straight thru pipe now. When it was originally just drilled at the rear and about 3cms into the core, it would chuck out a cloud of bluish white smoke on start up, then I thought I'd go the whole hog and remove everything.
Afterwards I disconnected battery for about 25 mins then let idle for 10 mins.
So I've been out for a drive and the blue white smoke is constant, pretty embarrassing. I've stopped twice for about 10 mins and for the first minute there's no smoke, but when it's fully back to temp the smoke comes billowing out again. Is I likely that the ECU is still learning the new mixture? Or is there something else I could try? It's being remapped and DPF egr deleted on Thursday, but I've to do about 200 miles to get there with the exhaust smoking more than a Frenchman with a soft spot for Gitanes!
It smells a bit like a bbq
