Check Front Left Lights warning
Hi All - I think I know the answer to this but here goes, and no harm in checking.
I had to drive up to Glasgow yesterday evening, and as it got to dusk I turned my sidelights on, to get a Check Front Left Lights warning on my computer (with a natty digital representation of the front left of view of a 159 - cool). I naturally assumed that the sidelight wasn't working. Turned on full beam as it got a bit darker and these were working fine. When I got to Glasgow and parked up I checked all the lights and all of them are working fine.
The car has occasionally not started first time recently (and this seems to occur with more frequency), and I've had the assist not available warnings - turning over/starting the engine a second time and all is well. I only use the car for longish journeys (not usually less than 40-50 miles, and generally well over a hundred), but the car is only used every three-four days.
My guess is that the battery needs replacing (rather than the lights or switches)? Its still on the original.
