so today i had my one hour drive to work with MES connected..
DPF clogging started at about 85%
the more driving i was doing the more it was creeping up slowly 84..85..86....
for the life of me, no matter how i drove i could not get it to decline, not even a fraction of a %..
EML was popping up about every 10 minutes, but i was clearing it pretty much instantly.
after 30 mins, i got to the freeway, and still no drop in clogging %. Still kept creeping up.
Eventually after some hard acceleration at high speed, i was able to kick in the regen.
regen was actioned successfully, started at exactly 86.26% clogged.
It ran its course, and when the Regen was done it was sitting at about 20.45% clogged... super happy that i got it down..
but for the remaining 15 minutes of my trip i continued to watch the clogging %, and again it was creeping up slowly, no matter how i was driving.. hard driving or cruise in 4th gear at 100km/h....
it just creeps up.
so im guessing it will again creep up to about 85% and complain, throw EML that it need regen, effectively stopping me from being able to regenerate.
I am looking for some DPF fuel additive to buy from UK since no one really sells it here.
Would this help my issue?
and does any one know why during non-regen status i cannot drop any % off my DPF clogging? seems weird.. as far as i know freeway driving should be regerating it naturally, and even hard city driving can reduce the DPF clog.
currently i have EGR partially blocked, and Swirl flaps disabled and in the open position
help is appreciated
